I have called Kaikoura home since 2002 and am proud and passionate about our piece of paradise. 

Personally I have been involved with many local projects, probably being best known for my volunteer work with our community radio station, presenting Pommie Mike's Sunday Service for over eight years. 

Professionally my work as manager of Heartland Services enables me to assist a wide cross−section of our community in accessing services and has given me a greater understanding of our community's needs. 

The social, economic, environmental and cultural issues facing us are challenging and whilst Kaikoura is a small town with a big reputation, a big heart and a big future, it requires efficient and effective management to ensure it remains sustainable. 

I have the energy, vision, common sense and commitment to make a positive contribution to Kaikoura, Kaikoura District and most importantly you, the people who make up our vibrant community.
