I came to live in Richmond 20 years ago and while keen to represent the broad spectrum of residents, my particular concern would have to be for those on fixed incomes and those on 'sunshine wages'.  If elected I pledge to do all I can to curb unnecessary spending by Council based on the rate of inflation.

Over the years I have been a volunteer of many Richmond groups.  My thanks to those teams and all those district-wide volunteers who give of their time and energy in making Tasman District a better place to live.  In spite of tight budgets I support the addition of a learners pool at the ASB pool complex.  New Zealand has one of the highest drowning records in the world, drowning is the third highest cause of accidental death.  I look forward to your support and thank you for reading this item.
