I lived in Sefton for over thirty years until moving to Rangiora. I have been a member of the Woodend− Ashley Ward Advisory Board for the past 6 years and am deputy Chairman, also a member of the Tuahiwi Water Working Party and the Ashley Rural Water Scheme Committee (which supplies water to the Waimakariri District settlements north of the Ashley River).
My purpose in working on these committees is to ensure that Woodend and the rural areas and population centres in the Ward receive a fair and adequate share of the services for which they pay their rates.
I am the manager of Amberley Medical Centre and am a Board member of the Rural Canterbury Primary Health Organisation which arranges medical services for Waimakariri and other areas. I have been director of a number of companies, am a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and also a Business Mentor.
