Vote for Michelle Kingham. Vote for the entire Manurewa Action Team

My approach to winning a seat on the Wiri Licensing Trust (WLT) is the same as my approach to life in general: hard work and a honest effort.
I'm a 34 year old woman of Waikato-Tainui descent who is Manurewa born and bred. Unfortunately that is not the usual characteristic of people who are elected to public office. But I'm working hard to explain to voters that i can bring something special and unique to the table. I can and i will serve this community well.
I WANT to serve this community, no strings attached.
No longer should voters settle for candidates with the attitude of "what's in it for me", i want to show the WLT electorate "what's in it for them".
I may not have decades of service in local or central government. Nor have I made the front page of the local newspaper before. But this feisty Manurewa woman has two things that qualify me for the role: (a) a strong work ethic, and (b) a good business brain.

I married Shay Kingham in 2004, and we moved from our first home in Clendon to Wattle Downs in 2009, where I am the secretary of the Residents and Ratepayers Association. Both of our sons play football for Manurewa AFC, and our daughter will join them in the future.
I am proud to admit, that Shay is my biggest fan. And he is well placed to define what makes a champion. In February 2008, Shay put his own life in jeopardy when he entered into a burning house in Clendon and helped save the life of a badly injured woman.
" Our greatest challenge this year is to get Michelle elected to the Wiri Licensing Trust. I hope that everyone will share my belief that she is the calibre of candidate that we need to serve as a leader for this community, which we are so proud to call home. " says Shay Kingham.

Combined Ports - A good idea?

Thank you for your question.

I do not have a personal view on the Otago and Lyttelton Port merger - given the locality it is not something that i have personally investigated the details of, however should i live or work in the area it would be something i would investigate thoroughly.  I recommend that this question should be directed to the Local Ward and Board candidates of your area. Regards.
