My name is Michael Ward and I have been a resident in Amberley since 2005. I purchased a property here and developed a small bed and breakfast business. My wife Kathryn is a school teacher. 

My background is in management, in the operations, sales and general management fields and latterly, change management roles in NZ and Australia. 

I am passionate about this district and believe we need to attract more business and services to our town to create meaningful work for residents. This requires a council focused on business development while not losing sight of the need for the essentials services of roading, water, flood protection and sewage. 

The current council has made some great changes but now needs to move to a higher level and improve both itself and the district. 

I look forward to the opportunity of representing you, the ever-important ratepayers and residents of the Amberley Ward.
