Being a resident of Waitakere for 30 years has given me a good understanding of what a community needs. It's important that Waitakere retain their ethos of being an eco−city. It is also important to maintain the core services i.e. Transport, Health, Heritage, Education, Vision and all voluntary services that serves the community well. For myself I have served in the capacity of a Board of Trustees and Chairperson in various schools throughout my life for the last ten years. Currently I am marketing a new education book based on the history and culture of New Zealand for all Kindergarten, Primary, College schools. I also coach a group of 40 disabled athletes ten pin bowling who belong to the Waitakere Special Olympics. Lastly I have toured Australia giving gifts to various cities from Waitakere City Council as an ambassador. Therefore my experience will stand in good stead for Henderson−Massey Board.
