Coming from a low income, multicultural background, I have a strong interest in ensuring that marginalised groups are represented. As a Henderson−Massey Local Board Member, I will advocate for those with mental and/or physical challenges; mental health issues; cultural minorities; and those in the lower socio−economic bracket. I will ensure that people's concerns are heard and responded to. My aim is to be in regular contact and have good relationships with people and to understand what they want and need. Stronger, healthier communities will be developed by supporting local business, community enterprise, fostering networking and partnering between community organisations.
