I offer myself as a candidate for the Ashburton Ward of the Ashburton District Council. Married to Isabel with 3 adult children, we have all enjoyed the benefits the town has to offer - good schooling, great outdoor sporting and recreational activities and a sharing and caring community.  As a Chartered Accountant and a Director of our company, I am acutely aware of business needs for both the urban and rural sectors. As present Chairman of the Stadium Trust and Vice-Chairman of the Project Group, past chair and current board member of the Ashburton Community Pool, I am well aware of community needs and expectations. If elected I will endeavour to represent the community with a professional approach, clear leadership and direction to meet the significant challenges that council currently faces. I will be open, honest and committed to effective and efficient decision making and accordingly seek your support.
