Mary−Ann de Kort, a Mt Wellington resident and a worker's advocate who is committed to fairness and equity in the workplace, stands for empowering the local community. Mary−Ann has a Social Science Honours degree (2003) and a Graduate Diploma of Disputes Resolution (2004) from The University of Waikato and worked for 13 years in the banking industry, gaining invaluable financial experience for her role on the Licensing Trust. "The Labour team believes in ensuring the Trust's resources and donations continue to benefit and empower our local community groups and organisations. Our focus on grants for family friendly organisations helps our communities grow with a sense of belonging and pride. I have a special interest in the provision of jobs and career opportunities and I will focus our Trust on growing these for our community.
