Marie Hasler has been a member of parliament for West Auckland, and she has also held several portfolios as a Minister of the Crown. Marie has two fundamental concerns, both central to the everyday lives of Waitakere citizens. Employment and Transport. Her current position as a manager with the Employers & Manufacturers Association has made her acutely aware of the importance of jobs for and costs to working families. Marie is a passionate supporter of West Auckland's unique identity. It is critical that the Local Boards, as advocates of the community, are clearly heard and forcefully represented. Marie has a long record of direct contact with the people of Waitakere, and shares their grass roots outlook. She will ensure Waitakere has an effective and articulate voice in the newer and larger Auckland city.
