I have represented our Marton Ward on Council for the last 9 years. During this time I have been actively involved in our community, through the Board of Trustees for both Rangitikei College (past Chairperson) and Marton School. I am currently a member of the Marton Historical Society, Project Marton, Tutaenui Branch of Rural Women, Sustainable Rangitikei, Council representative on the Edale Home Trust Board (Deputy Chairperson) and Tutaenui Flood Control Scheme Committee (Chairperson). 

Issues that concern me include; impact of rates on people with fixed incomes, looking for opportunities to increase the Rangitikei population, the future of transport to and from the Rangitikei, conserving our water resources and encouraging the development of sustainable communities within the Rangitikei. 

Communities know what they want and it is essential that Council continues to develop effective ways to work with their communities.
