I am Louisa Lavakula, resident of Otara for 34 years and I have 4 adult children. I have served on − the Otara Community Board for 18 years; − Otara health Board for 10 years; − Pacific Health Advisory Committee for 5 years; − Child Advocacy Group for Manukau City Council for 4 years; − Niuean Nurses Association since 1986; − Pacific Island Advisory Committee PIAC for 16 years; − Co−ordinator for Vaka Tautua Tupuna Niuean Elderly Group. I am standing for the Local Board in order to use my vast experience in local government to benefit my community of Otara. I am therefore asking for your support to: support No User Pays for Pools and Libraries; − support Youth Education and Drop in Centre; − Avocate for Seniors and Disabled; −support Safer Neighbourhoods.
