Hutt City is a great place to live - a fantastic environment with beautiful rivers, beaches and forests. There’s enormous potential for our city and I want to address issues such as safe streets, sensible spending, clean water, sports grounds, and the environment. It’s vital our rates are spent on getting the basics right. I believe in public ownership of our key assets - our libraries, our water, our Eastern Hills. I live in the Eastern Ward and am the mother of two. I am an advisor in central government with experience in housing, transport, sustainability and contract management. I’m actively involved with Waiwhetu Stream Working Group, Living Streets, National Council of Women and Forest and Bird. I have common-sense and am approachable, I get things done. I look forward to representing your views and making this city the best it can be.

Question
Lisa Bridson's Reply
Yes, I live in the Eastern Ward. I would find it hard to represent the community if I didn\'t.
I have been an active member of the Waiwhetu Stream working group (WSWG) for over 10 years. As part of WSWG I have organised school groups to plant near the stream and have made submissions on issues that will affect the stream. The stream is important to me. My children have grown up visiting the stream, feeding the ducks or just enjoying wandering next to it. I would like to see the health of the stream improved, and the flood risk reduced.
