I am a small business owner, chair of the Sandringham Community Centre and an active member of the Auckland Indian Association.

I am highly committed to bringing our diverse community together.

Personal Profile

I am a communication & Information Management specialist with a Ph D and many years of experience as a Librarian in New Zealand and other countries. My long services to the community have been recognized through Justice of the Peace (JP) in 2004 and MNZM, Queens award in 2007.

As a Chair of the Sandringham Community Centre, Treasurer of The Asian Network Inc (TANI), Executive member of the ADCOSS, Sandringham Business Association and a small businessman myself, I know the value of fostering good relationships between Council and the business community. I will work for more help to develop local businesses, including networking and sharing of resources.

I am a peoples person and have got tremendous belief in peoples capacity and the community where people play important role. I want to match with my values and strengths with communities requirements and see people finding progressed. I pledge my support to all our local communities of the Puketapapa (Mt Roskill) Local Board, including our youths and ethnic groups. Help given to them benefit for our society.
