There is a bright future for us here. A time for local representation that is bold, communicative, co-operative and clear, for people with skills, experience and decency. For being independent and brave while making difficult decisions. Council must continue the momentum of the past six years, while understanding there is a better way to approach regional issues. Effective, efficient Governance means listening, hearing and understanding before making decisions. Our beautiful community needs Councillors who understand all the issues - fiscal, social, major and minor - and who are not distracted from the real challenges. I have seen the benefits of building strong supportive communities from the ground up, in the people I have represented; the huge number of individuals, families, groups, promotions and events I have been involved with for the past decade. I will do my best for Wanganui/Whanganui. We are all important. We can all love this place.
