Leau Peter Skelton has served three terms on the Mangere Community Board, two as Deputy Chair and the current term as Chair. He is a self-employed business person. A proud resident of Mangere for 40 years, he is a former volunteer at the Mangere CAB, a former treasurer of the Mangere LEC and is the current Chair of its Samoan branch. Leau Peter is a member of the St Anthony’s Church Parish Council and of PIAC and has a particlar interest in Pacific health issues, particularly the wellbeing of the elderly. He is a co-ordinator of Neighbourhood Watch and aims to boost pride and safety in Mangere–Otahuhu.
