Standing for: Gore District Council - Mataura Ward; Southern District Health Board - Southland Constituency

The continuation of accessible and sustainable health services in our community is vital for our well being. Therefore I, Laurel Turnbull, have been asked to put my name forward for the Southern DHB from the Eastern Southland area. I have been working in health related positions for several years including care giving at Resthaven, support person for Idea Services and currently as a support worker for Healthcare 2000, so I am aware of health needs and issues. I am also on the Gore Counselling Centre executive and currently a director on the Hokonui PHO which is soon to be devolved. As well as this I have also been a Gore District Councillor so have governance experience. I, Laurel Turnbull, am therefore seeking your support to be a strong voice for all sections health. Conflicts of Interest

I am currently employed by Healthcare 2000 as a support worker. To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no other conflicts of interest with the DHB at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of the DHB. I do not believe that any conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future, other than my intended continued employment by Healthcare 2000.
