I have been a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in NZ for 25 years and practiced in Whangerai for 20 years. Now I work as a SpecialistGynaecologist in the private sector. I worked at several hospitals in NZ, both urban and rural and for a short time as a family doctor. Therefore I am well aware of the health needs of New Zealanders in general and Northlanders in particular. The well being of the patient is of utmost importance and preventative medicine has a significant place. I believe in team work and appreciate the value of all health workers whose entitlements must be protected. I would ask you to give me an opportunity to aim for the above and to make the best use of the health dollar. My wife and I have two grown up children.

To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the Northland District Health Board at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership for the board of the District Health Board, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future.
