This election is about communities − where my focus lies. I've been active in community organisations for many years and am currently a North Shore City Councillor and Chairman of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee. I am a Justice of the Peace, a member of the Auckland JP Council, President of North Shore Brass, and Vice President of the Takapuna RSA. I was awarded a QSM (2009) for leadership in education and for community service. I bring experience in cutting through red tape to make things happen and will continue to represent individuals experiencing difficulties with Council. I stand outside established political parties. I believe my role is to deliver value from rates and to support community groups that bring value to their area. We must work together to improve our city and make it an even better place to live and work.
