Ken enthusiastically supports the amalgamation of Auckland’s governance and the benefits to be obtained from this restructure.

If you elect Ken, you get a commitment ensuring the Orakei Local Board achieves the decision-making responsibilities anticipated under the new Auckland Council, that it focuses on careful spending, appropriate governance and concentrates on core council responsibilities.

He has been a C&R Councillor on the Auckland City Council for the past 3 years, is Chairman of the Transport Committee and served on the Arts Community & Recreation Committee. Ken has been Chairman of the Auckland Rugby Football Union since 2000 and is a Trustee of The Halberg Trust.

Ken, and his family have lived in the Orakei Ward since 1970.  Ken is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
