I’m a member of the Greater Dunedin team and live in Middlemarch.  I’m a qualified lawyer and have also worked as a baker, a planner, a farmer and a café owner.  As a volunteer I’ve worked on all the Middlemarch Singles Dances, I’m a Trustee of the Otago Central Rail Trail and a Director of Taieri Gorge Limited.

 

I have represented the Mosgiel-Taieri ward on the City Council since 2007.   I continue to believe that our city has huge potential, which can be reached not necessarily by spending more money but through leadership that is open, supportive and inclusive of all sectors of our city community.   I see the role of Councillor as setting the framework and policies through which communities and Council staff can interact positively.  I value honesty and integrity, and I dislike the lack of transparency that I have seen in my first term as a Councillor.
