Born in Cambridge NZ in 1947, I became a ratepayer in Golden Bay in 1983 and have lived here since 1985 after being in Wellington.
While there I worked for an insurance company, as qualified Play Centre supervisor, for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in the head office of Lion Breweries. I’ve been an Amnesty International member.
I’ve also done “hands on” work such as contract seasonal fruit picking and scallop shelling, as home helper to local people through Rural Women’s Access Home Health and now, through my small business as picture framer, so I have varied experience. My hobbies are writing, singing and scrabble.
I am a member of the Te Whare Mahana Advisory Board.
I have four children and seven grandchildren.
I’ve experienced first hand the necessity for our community board to represent our population’s concerns. I’m keen to continue this work.
