Our family has lived in Rangiora for the last 36 years.

My four year involvement on the Waimakariri Covered Pool Committee has prompted me to stand for the Community Board. The new Aquatic Centre is one of many facilities the Council will need to maintain or provide over the next 10 years so that Rangiora remains the vibrant town that affordably meets the cultural, economic, environmental and social needs of our community: Local Government Act 2002

I have been involved with the community as a member of the Bush Street Kindergarten Establishment Committee, 1970s; three terms on the Rangiora Borough School Committee, 1980s, the last as Chairperson, and the Waimakariri District Council Heritage Assessment Committee, as well as the district's Women's Suffrage Year Committee.

Sixteen years as the teacher at the Robert McDougall/ Christchurch Art Gallery also means I have extensive Arts and Cultural experience.
