John Phillips born 4th October 1948 

My wife Linda and I immigrated to New Zealand in 1972 with our eldest son Jason. We moved to Hanmer Springs in 1996 from Christchurch. 

Both our sons have since moved to Hanmer and are actively involved in the community. 

Linda and I have been members of the Hanmer Springs Lions Club. I have held the position of Treasurer and President for four consecutive years. 

Being a local Business owner/operator and ratepayer for the past 15 years, We are committed to the management and infrastructure of Hanmer Springs ie, Reserves, recycle of rubbish, sewerage and storm water to name a few. 

We are totally dedicated to the Hanmer Springs area and the greater Hurunui district, it is a great place to live. 

If elected I will continue the good work that those before me have done.
