John was born, raised and educated in Papatoetoe. He is a past Head Boy of Papatoetoe High School (1982) and has a real affinity with the area and the people. At a time when significant change is upon us, John brings a wealth of local body experience and a clear understanding of issues and challenges with 12 years Community Board experience, being a past Chairman of the Hunters Corner Business Association and having served for 10 years in the New Zealand Police in South Auckland. "My desire is to see a strong, vibrant and united community, one where all people, young and old feel safe on the streets and in their own homes.
