I have enjoyed the privilege of serving two terms as a Councillor, the second as Chairman of the Utilities Committee.
For me, the big picture item is still the Council’s provision of core services. I would like the opportunity to implement the revised model that I was part of structuring last term. When
complete, it will deliver best value core services and an enhanced programme for maintenance of our infrastructural assets.
I would also like to continue to work on issues confronting our town centres. Their vibrancy, safety and relevance to the broader community are essential elements for the economic and social well-being of the whole district.
I think the combination of both a corporate and small business background, together with my considered approach to decision-making and ability to work for and with a variety of people, makes me a productive representative for our community as a whole.
