I came to Coromandel with my family in 1954. I attended the local primary school and secondary school to then take on a local plumbing apprenticeship. I have been plumbing in Coromandel since 1970. 

I joined the local Voluntary Fire Brigade in 1971 serving in several positions to become Chief Fire Officer in 1987 and still serve in that role. I have served 15 years on the Community board also. My interest is to support the return of control back to Community for people to have a meaningful input into local activities. 

Coromandel is my home town and I am proud to be part of the quaint little town it is.
