I have grown up in the Manawatu, and with my wife Carol we have raised our four children here. I have been a dairy farmer most of my life and am pleased with the success that this industry has brought to New Zealand. The way those in the dairy industry share ideas and information has led to much of this success.
I have applied the same collaborative approach in my past nine years on the Council, enjoying being part of the team. The ongoing success of the Manawatu district is reliant on our rural sector of which I continue to be a part of now farming dry stock in the Pohangina area.
I believe that being an effective councillor requires high morals and ethics, collaboration, and common sense, these I bring to the table. As representative of Kiwitea−Pohangina ward, I will continue to uphold these values.
