Standing for: Northland District Health Board; Northland Regional Council - Whangarei Constituency

I have nominated for the District Health Board because I believe I can contribute positively from my involvement in health over 35yrs. I have been involved with the ambulance service in Whangarei and Northland for over 35yrs and the Rescue Helicopter for 22yrs as the Chairman. These positions leave me with a good knowledge of what is required to deliver a good responsive health service to all parts of Northland. My community is important to me so I have given time freely to many sporting, and social groups, together with duties as a JP, a position I am proud of. My business activities equip me with a good financial understanding so I would be able to bring a commercial aspect to a good performing DHB as ours is.

I hereby disclose the following conflict of interest with the Northland District Health Board at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate: As Chairman of the Rescue Helicopter (Northland Emergency Services Trust) and the Order of St John, Whangarei, I have a potential conflict as both the above provide services to the DHB.
