I WAS, I AM
My whakapapa roots are Wairoa as was my primary education. This is the best place in the World to raise my daughter.
I am totally devoted to the Wairoa District, helping our community to achieve successful outcomes in the resource consent process. I am a shareholder in several local Māori land blocks. and have been a trustee for my iwi organisation, two Māori Land Trusts and involved in organising the Gifted Sands exhibition.
I have a Master of Arts in Māori Studies, and a Master in Environmental Studies. I spent 12 years working on culture, heritage, environment and resource management policy in both central and local government. Over the last five years I have taught business and iwi approaches to environmental sustainability.
