Joan has lived in Birkenhead for a number of years, and has been an active participant in many areas of community. Her passion for the arts was the driver for her long involvement as a volunteer textile conservationist with the War Memorial Museum. Joan now works in community and enjoys the value that diverse communities add to our culture. Through her experience Joan knows that community groups are the foundation fabric of a healthy vibrant community, as are the environmental, sports and cultural groups. "I thought it was time to stand up and play a key role in the community, so I have put myself forward as a candidate for the Birkenhead Licensing Trust. I enjoy working alongside people from many diverse organisations and culture so I know that I can bring a breath of knowledge and understanding to the Birkenhead Licensing Trust Board."
