Our Wellington is a fantastic city, which I have been proud to serve for the last three years.
We have a beautiful harbour, a vibrant and compact CBD, an accessible town-belt, a world-class stadium, a thriving arts and cultural scene and strong sense of community. It is unique.
As a city, we have worked hard to get to where we are. However, we must continue to step-up to remain world class. I wish to remain working alongside local businesses and the community, to ensure Wellington continues and grows as a great place to live, work and visit.
Our sporting facilities need improvement. More specifically, we need a fit-for-purpose aquatic centre and more all-weather turf.
Public transport needs improvement, although this is not the solution for everyone at every time. Faster buses should not come at the expense of traffic flow, and we need to look for value for money in our solutions.
We need to support local business and create more jobs. Wellington must be technologically leading-edge, environmentally conscious, but most importantly, easy to access internationally. We are our nation's capital, and currently have no direct access to Asia.

Personal Profile
My husband Conor and I have lived in Wellington for 20 years. Our six children are born and bred Wellingtonians, as well as Hurricanes, Phoenix and Pulse supporters.
I have loved living in Wadestown for the past 11 years and enjoyed a busy and rewarding association with the Wadestown Kindergarten and Creche. We are currently keen members of the Wadestown Tennis Club, revived last year and now boasting a membership of around 100 families.
The Onslow Western Ward is an area I am very familiar with. Our family has over the years enjoyed an association with many clubs, groups and churches in the area. Specifically, the Onslow and Karori Atheltic Clubs; the Karori United Soccer Club; Collegians Cricket; Wadestown Cubs, Brownies and Keas; Lynley Anne Ward School of Dance; Wadestown Creche and Kindergarten; St Bridgids, St Teresas and Wilton Parishes; Karori Pirates; and Summer Soccer at Ian Galloway Park.
I am a Director of Silvereye Communications, a Public Relations, Government Relations and Marketing Communications Company.
I am a National Board Member of the Life Education Trust and also Chairperson of the Wellington City Trust. I am a Director of Positively Wellington Tourism.
Prior to working as Press Secretary to Sir Don McKinnon, NZ Foreign Minister, I held PR and communications roles at National Bank, AMP/Ergo, and the Tourism Board. I started my career as a new graduate at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Ltd.
I attended Otago University from 1986 to 1988 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
