It's voters' chance on October 9 to decide what sort of council they want and its likely priorities for 3 more years. With boundary changes the council will have new faces and I ask you to select me as one of Huntly's 2 representatives. A resident for over 20 years, I am involved in community organisations and projects including Huntly Youth Focus of which I was a founder. I am also involved in groups as diverse as Foundation of the Blind and Age Concern, all of which I will continue to promote. I am watching local projects with interest, especially the planned new museum and commuter train to Auckland. I want to see costings of the train made available to ratepayers, before I support it. As many voters have fixed incomes, we must get best value for money. If you have any concerns, please approach me.
