Chairman of Rodney Branch of Federated Farmers. I have worked with Rodney District Council, Auckland Regional Council and Kaipara District Council. I am trustee for the Northland Rural Recovery for adverse events such as the recent drought in Northland. As part of the new Super−City, Wellsford must be promoted as the best town and district for new families to live as well as rural and industrial businesses. I pledge that if elected as Wellsford's Board member I will: View rate− payers of the Super−City as the most important voices; push for ratepayers to receive itemized account assessments; vote against any rate increase greater than the Consumer Price Index (C.P.I.); keep the Super− City Council focused on its core activities; ensure full use of uniform annual charges and target rates; use my position to lobby for a fair rating system; push to ensure rural roads are upgraded.
