The Rev Ikilifi Pope is married and the father of 5 girls. Of Tongan/Niuean descent, he has a BA in Sociology and Theology. Rev Pope founded the Tongan Youth Trust in 1997, which focuses on developing new initiatives for youth, the Tongan Youth Trust Literacy and Numeracy Support programme. He works with a wide network of social service groups such as ALAC, Langimaile, Health Star Pacific, etc. Rev Pope entered the Ministry in 2006 and is currently working with the Onehunga Co-operating Parish on a part-time basis. He is a member of the Board of trustees of Marcellin College and Wesley College and a member of the Auckland Police Pacific Sector Advisory Board and the MOE Pacific Sector Advisory Board.
