Hinurewa te Hau (Hinu) has spent a decade implementing regional economic development projects focusing on tourism, creative industries and community development. In 2011 she graduates Master of Philosophy in Economic Development from AUT. As a company owner, she has worked with local and central government building sustainable communities. She and the experienced C&R team are strong advocates for community consultation and believe in preservation, heritage and protecting our local amenities for future generations. Hinu is a current member of Hobson Community Board. She has one child, was involved with Parnell District Area School and was fundraiser and Chair for Auckland Child Cancer. She's currently a trustee for a health promotion service, a festival, a business trust and a regional arts board. As a third generation Waitemata resident she brings energy and enthusiasm.
