I have lived in the Kaimai ward all my life. The development of our Ward and region now, and for the future, should be in a way that is manageable for generations that follow. I believe our Council needs to continue to work hard on its relationships with our regional and community partners, ensuring we have a united and collective voice both locally and nationally. As current Chair of Export New Zealand BOP, and of our local community group, Whakamarama Community Inc., I'm already actively involved in helping to plan the sensible economic development of the region. My business experience comes from our family's investments in kiwifruit processing and our agricultural export businesses which is locally based. As a family, my husband Ross, son Paul and I operate our 150ha drystock farm in upper Whakamarama. I offer my experience for your consideration to take our region forward.
