Tuatapere has been a service town for Western Southland for the last 100 years, and will continue to be so into the future.
The community board needs to continue to make the town more attractive for locals and visitors alike, for example the planting of shrubs at the southern entrance of town.
I would like to see the railway station re clad and a railway display set up.
The Greenheart reserve is due to be planted out in native trees, with the theme tree being the Southern Red Rata. This will make Tuatapere the only town on the Southern Scenic Route with a patch of native bush in the center of town, perhaps to be known as the Southern Red Rata town
The water supply for Tuatapere is not good enough and the Board should be continuing to do all it can to inprove the water quality.
I would like see the Clifden suspension bridge repaired and reopened, it is a great visitor stopping place.
