Your Community Voice for Albert-Eden-Roskill Ward

Currently an Auckland City Councillor, with 18 years of Community Board service, Graeme’s energy has helped drive countless successful local projects, from community facilities to stream and beach restoration.

“As a Mount Albert resident, I look forward to engaging in issues affecting all the communities from Point Chevalier through to Owairaka”

I am a member of the City Vision team contesting the 2010 Local Body Elections in Auckland.

I support and will work for the implementation of the City Vision Policies and Principles - see our website: www.cityvision.org.nz

Top 5 Issues

  1. Enhance local identity within the Supercity

I will work to build and support local character within each of our neighbourhoods while ensuring equity of access to resources and facilities.

  2. Calm traffic in our residential streets

I will support measures to minimize and slow through traffic (rat runners) in quiet residential streets to make our neighbourhoods safer and quieter.
  3. Rejuvenate our run-down town centres

I will champion efforts to enliven our local town centres through improvements to the environment and by supporting initiatives to increase business and community activities.
  4. Protect and enhance our urban streams

I will continue my work through schools and stream care groups to improve water quality in our local streams (Oakley and Meola Creeks, etc.) and work with private property owners to extend and improve vegetation along stream banks.

  5. Protecting the environment around the SH20 motorway.

I am committed to continuing the fight on behalf of the community to get the best deal we can for the affected communities, their parks and neighbourhoods.
