A lifetime Upper Hutt resident, educated at Heretaunga College. I am married to Lorraine with three adult children Gerad, Paul and Kelly. Having a strong background in community and sports administration I am currently Upper Hutt Rugby Club Chairman and community member of Activation. I wish to contribute further through involvement in the Maidstone Park redevelopment and in addition believe I have a contribution to make to the ongoing development and growth of Upper Hutt with an emphasis in urban growth strategy and transport. An important part of growth must include our elected representatives asking for and responding to residents needs in these areas and then to provide strong leadership and direction to ensure Council appointed officers achieve the required outcomes. Finally to ensure Upper Hutt maintains a strong voice within the greater Wellington region whilst being conscious of an  contribution we can make to the region as a whole.
