I am a Hillsborough based teacher with a 19 year old son. I am active with the following organisations, Campaign for Better Transport, Vice President NZ Fencible Society, NZEI Branch President, the Onehunga Enhancement Society (TOES). I have also campaigned to save Monte Cecilia School. I will be more effective if you support the total Roskill Community Voice team in the Puketepapa Local Board area: Julie Fairey Joel Fotu Dr Lingappa Kalburgi Magele Brenda Simmons Vui-Talitu Michael Wood I am also supporting Dr Cathy Casey and Glenda Fryer for the Auckland Council I believe that Local government must be an active voice for the local community, and as a Board member will be prepared to stand up for Mt Roskill.

1. I strongly support public ownership and control of Auckland's assets including water.
2. I am committed to making public transport a priority by completing our rail network and improving cycle, bus and ferry services.
3. I am opposed to the moving of Monte Cecilia School and the purchase of additional properties to expand Monte Cecilia Park.
4. I support the local community having a say over the placement and opening hours of new liquor stores.
5. I will work hard to secure better resourcing for the Roskill/Puketepapa community to provide better footpaths, roads, parks and other upgraded local facilities. I am committed to gaining equal financial resources to improve the Manukau Harbour so its recreational potential can be fully utilised.
