I have lived in the Bay of Islands since 1972. When my husband took over the Russell medical Practice I chaired the Russell Com. Council and on moving to Kerikeri in 1994 was elected to the Com. Board and have served on that board since then. Currently I deputy Chair the Eastern (Whangaroa/Bay of Islands). I have a strong commitment to the community and to the North. Currently I serve on the Area Committee Order of St John, and for several years deputy chaired the Northland Area Operators Board. I served for two terms on the Northland Area Health Board and Deputy Chaired the Ethics Committee. I was also instrumental in setting up the Patient Advocacy Service in Northland. For the past 10 years I have been leading the group developing the Bay Sport Facility on Harmony Lane at Waipapa.
