I have lived in Papatoetoe for 31 years, mother to Julian and Stephanie and wife to John. Having served on the Papatoetoe Community Board for six years, and currently the Town Centre Manager for Hunters Corner and Old Papatoetoe. I have the experience and ability to confront community issues that will arise in the future. In an endeavour to minimise criminal activity, I have been involved with the implementation of the successful Ambassador programme and attend regualr meetings with police, truancy, crime patrol and a higher level crime prevention team. In 1996 I resurrected the Papatoetoe Santa Parade, now the second largest in Auckland, and I am still very much involved with this organisation. With the new super city structure it is imperative that Papatoetoe retains its independence and unique community spirit. A vote for me, Donna Lee, will ensure that Papatoetoe is well represented.
