As an experienced member of MidCentral DHB, residing in rural Tararua, I have worked tirelessly to achieve excellence in the delivery of health services.

Current successes include: improved hospital performance reflecting quality and greater efficiency; increased clinical input into service planning; workforce stability; ongoing efforts to resolve emergency department congestion; historically high numbers of people received elective surgery in the last 12 months; proactively creating an environment that allows even more preventative, diagnostic and chronic disease management resources to be based in the community; timely assessment and quality care for older people; maintaining appropriate, accessible maternity services; child health remains a priority.

Our people deserve access to the latest equipment, drugs and techniques.

National and regional collaboration must be the key to achieving this.

I aim to keep our present momentum going.

For innovation, efficiency and professional representation vote Diane Anderson (1) for MidCentral DHB.

Conflicts of Interest

To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the MidCentral District Health Board (DHB) at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of the DHB, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in the future.
