I am currently a Councillor for the Northern Ward, coming to the end of my third term. I’m seeking your endorsement for a fourth.

Experience is an advantage but it’s the desire and ability to do the job and do it well that really counts.

I believe I have these attributes and wish, with your support, to continue to serve the community of the Tararua.

My focus for the next three years, if elected, is for the Council to concentrate very much on its core activates, being roading, water and waste disposal, and for it to review all non-essential spending.

The current Council has made considerable progress in containing rates but an increased effort must be made, especially in the current economic climate. The long awaited rating review needs to be completed to confirm that our rates are being correctly allocated. (My belief is it should have already been completed).
