Having served a previous twelve years as a Ashburton District Councillor followed by a three year break, I offer myself for the 2010 Elections in the Ashburton Ward.  Council must maintain its core business infrastructure, water, waste water, storm water, roading and footpaths etc. before all else. Decisions must by made while the people of the District are kept fully informed, so the District can move forward together. I have been self employed for over 30 years, served twenty eight years as a Volunteer Fireman to Deputy Chief in Rakaia, several years in Scouting rising to District Commissioner and still involved. I am presently President of the Railway and Preservation Society and Committee member of the Tinwald Reserve Board.  I have experience, integrity, business knowledge, common sense and enthusiasm to offer our growing and diversifying community.
