Putting your voice into local decisions I am Daljit Singh, a Papatoetoe resident for the past 17 years, and a candidate for the Papatoetoe Community Board in the October Local Body Elections. I believe my New Zealand experiences as a Justice of the Peace, Marriage Celebrant and as a regular volunteer at the Papatoetoe Citizens Advice Bureau provide me with an excellent basis for representing the views of local residents on the Community Board. My professional background is in Real Estate and I am also a Registered Immigration Adviser. My other major role is Chairman of the Supreme Sikh Council of New Zealand and Spokesperson for the New Zealand Sikh Society AKL. For many years now I have been promoting the interests of the communities with which I have been associated. When required I have expressed their views publicly and have championed their interests through local and national political processes.
