Chris Makoare has lived for 30 years in Glen Innes, where he is a community leader. He has four children aged 17 to 25, three of whom attended Glendowie College where Chris worked for eight years as a Sports Coordinator. Chris has been manager of the Glen Innes Family Centre, a local social service provider, for the past two years. He's been active in the Parent Network and is a community facilitator for the Tamaki Transformation Programme. Chris takes part in Hunga Tiaki, a Maori leadership group, and was instrumental in forming Just 4 Dads, a men's network group. "My priorities are a safe, caring community, our youth and ensuring Tamaki gets community facilities we deserve. Our community's voice must be heard. The Labour team and I will continue to fight for MAGIC − the Glen Innes Music and Arts Centre. Please vote for all Labour and City Vision candidates."
