Resident in New Zealand's best city for 36 years.  I retired as CEO of Shell Todd Oil Services and am currently a Business Consultant and member of the Institute of Directors. My wife, Jocelyn, is involved in the community as a music teacher and performer.

A councillor should listen and work with others to provide vision, leadership, good governance and financial discipline, all areas I have experience in.

Despite a recession, in the last five years rates have increased three times faster than inflation and this cannot be sustained. Council's debt is increasing, investments are at risk. These challenge the funding of future projects. The same financial discipline that households, businesses and government require must be achieved.

Your vote for me will bring international business experience, fresh vision, greater challenge, accountability, transparency and stronger governance to ensure this district will continue to grow and prosper."Growth with financial responsibility".
