Carrol Elliott JP has been a resident of Mangere Bridge for 18 years and worked as a Registered Nurse at Middlemore Hospital for 15 years before she retired. She has been a Justice of the Peace for 22 years and is a weekly volunteer with the Mangere CAB.


I will consult with the Tangata Whenua for the protection of our harbour and surrounding areas, advocate for no commercial development of the Mangere foreshore and totally oppose the dumping of solid waste on Puketutu Island. I will promote provision of public transport, with direct rail and bus services through Mangere Bridge to the airport and Manukau, retention of Council owned housing for the elderly and will encourage community participation in Local Board decisions.”
